Impossible Dream – print by Vonnie Snyder

Have you ever dreamed that Impossible Dream? Oxford Studio Tour is just four weeks away, May 5 and 6 and I’m busy creating new works and revamping old ones with much excitement and anticipation for my first year as a participating artist. I am so honoured to be situated at Site #9 with Sue Simpson, Heather MacIntosh, Frankie Armitage and our host Linda Yeoman, all amazing artists.

About 3 1/2 years ago I put paintbrush to canvas for the first time in over 40 years. I never dreamed that what started as a therapeutic activity after a very difficult time in my life could become such a labour of love and passionate pursuit. I don’t remember what it was like now to not be thinking about the next new way to transform a canvas.

About that Impossible Dream…. I used to eagerly look forward to touring the countryside and admiring all the fabulous creations of the talented artists of Oxford County. Then, when I started painting, I dreamed that Impossible Dream – someday maybe I would be on the tour! With encouragement of family and friends, lessons and wonderful mentorship, this year I am living that Dream!

If you are an artist on the Oxford Studio Tour, know that you are not only providing joy and beauty in the creations you display, but also you are inspiring others in their creativity. If you are visiting us on the tour and have that Impossible Dream, come, be inspired, take in all that Oxford Studio Tour has to offer and then make your Dream a reality.

Saturday, May 5 and Sunday May 6 from 10 am to 5 pm

Map available at many sites throughout the county or online at http://www.oxfordstudiotour.ca
